Scope of Work

A low level bridge at the Elora Gorge Conservation Area was in need of repair above and below the water level.

Repair included bridge structure rehabilitation as well as the filling and stabilization of the eroded river bed.

Design Determinants

A flexible, site-fit armouring solution was required to fill the scour pools. Traditional rock armour was determined to be unsuitable for the application with a 100 year design storm greater than 5 m/s velocity.
